Shane Adamson, received his undergraduate degree in Family Science in 1993 and a Masters of Social Work degree in 1995. Shane started Family First Counseling in 1998 in Utah, which grew to be a leading agency in helping individuals, couples and families overcome many complex problems. He sold this agency and at age 40 did a mid-life adventure and moved with his family to Frisco TX in 2010. Shane’s specialties include: helping couples create a loving and connected marriages, overcoming sex/pornography addiction and intimacy issues, and healing from trauma. Michael D. Ashenfelter, LPC-S holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently under supervision to become a Certified EFT therapist. He is the founder and director of Ashenfelter Counseling in Dallas, Texas, with his wife Tiffany Ashenfelter, LPC-S. Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen holds the PhD in Clinical Psychology with specialized training in treating problematic sexual behavior, sex, shame and trauma. Lynda Mathis, Ph.D. is a Certified EFT Therapist and a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She has been a part of the Steering Committee for the North Texas Emotionally Focused Therapy Community since 2014. Lynda earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, in 1996. Bernis Riley, Psy.D, LPC-S holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University. Her major experience is in marriage and family therapy and trauma. Emily Savage, M.MFT, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently under supervision to become a certified EFT therapist. Emily earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in 2011 where she fell head over heels in love with EFT and couples work after seeing her first video of Sue Johnson in action. She has focused on healing couple relationships ever since, especially when one partner is struggling with depression, anxiety, or addiction. Cindy Stites graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010 with a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling. Cindy has worked at a non-profit counseling agency since 2011. Cindy also has experience as an adjunct professor of psychology at Dallas Christian College. Cindy is passionate about working with individuals and couples in a collaborative way to reach relationship goals. Brittainy Wagner, received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Brittainy has worked in a variety of settings including a local community mental health setting, local colleges, and working with troubled youth at a residential education and vocational training program. She maintains an independent practice in the Sherman, TX area. Brittainy enjoys working with individuals ranging in age from adolescents to older adults.
